WTF - Since when was reducing someone's handicap a way of calling them a cheat? Isn't a reduction what we all strive for? That reduction was over a period of time, surely that was to be expected if his gold was improving............

Can anyone clarify if his handicap reduced by the 7.9 shots progressively over the course of the 5 year period or if after 5 years they suddenly reduced his handicap by 7.9 shots all in one go? If someone at your club suddenly got reduced by 7.9 shots after 5 years on the same handicap I'm sure most people would be calling him a bandit etc etc.

Retired man who needed a hobby... and decided that hobby would be filing spurious nuisance lawsuits.

My in-laws have a retired guy who lives down their road. His hobby is walking up and down the street checking tax discs in cars.. and calling the police if they are out of date.

I'd put this guy in a similar category. He is going to end up lonely and unhappy. It's pretty sad really.

When I was Chairman of H'caps I got threatened with a Solicitor's letter. So I offered to suspend his handicap whilst the County Union adjudicated, including all the other evidence I had from away comps - I'd cut him 2 shots...

this sounds like the sad old duffer who sits on his own and is like a coiled spring if anyone enters our club house in shorts or golf shoes EVEN in the spike bar just a sad individual who hasn't got a life,i don't know his name but have heard lads call him f**k off or something similar when he comes over.

Unbelievable.

Hope they award costs against him - will stop others thinking this is acceptable behaviour. The courts cannot take this seriously surely?
