(Stands tall and sticks head above parapet)

It's been a good week on the Forum, a lot of ground covered lots of good posts, as usual. But, hey, this is supposed to be a bit of fun isn't it, We're all different, we all play to different levels, all got differing views about all things golf, haven't we? Yes we like to be heard, but let's respect each others views and opinions.

Lets chill out and keep this Forum going in the manner in which it has so far been progressing. We can all put our views on here, we don't have to agree with each others views, but lets not get into some of the slagging matches that go on on some of the other forums.

Thats what makes this forum a bit different from the others, please let's keep it that way.

As your regarding to certain issues , one of them being the custom fit thread. I think the discussion is good we dont need to chill its not got that far! the only remarks made were the pro is a muppet for saying it doesnt make a difference if fitted or not no offence is made to the poster he is setting his views and passing info on.

If you cant take the pressure of the debate check out Gordon brown and Chums in the house of commons and see what its like there!!!

Also as it is supposed to fun. Well it is Fun!! Thats why we are discussing it.
Nothing has been said out of turn . Only honest opinions which we are all entitled to!

All views and opininons have, are and will be respected!

The beauty of this forum is that we all air our oppinions on each subject. Sometimes it can get a bit heated when people feel strongly about a certain matter but I cannot remember a recent occasion when things have got out of hand.

Quite often 2 people will be at loggerheads over 1 discussion and totally united in their view on another.

Everyone is entitled to their oppinion and has the right to voice it.

The only things I would not condone are certain swear-words (not everybody is from chatham), personal abuse/attacks, sexism, racism or the spreading of malicious rumour/gossip.

Lets keep the forum going as it has been for a while now. It is a great place to be.

Apologies for missing that AliB is a regular.

Don't want to spoil the fun,but I felt one or two posts today did almost go too far. We had an example of it a month or so ago where one thing led to another and it did get unpleasant if you remember.

Anyway, I'm away to get my head down below the parapet again.

cheers

Apart from when we are telling freebie ad merchants which hole we would like to bury our clubs into I think the level of behaviour is actually very good and far better than many other forums I have visited.

No one will agree with everything thats said (Medwayjon and I have polar views on custome fitting and thats fine). It is a place for open debate without prejudice. Lets keep it that way.

I suppose that it could be said that the mix of members and opinions on here are similar to those in many clubs - most people turn up to enjoy a game, but there are always the odd few who must win at all costs.

As Homer says, let's keep it this way.
