Garmin Approach GPS Watch

I initially didn't like the idea of wearing a watch whilst playing but I liked the simplicity of it and the price and I thought I could always strap it to the bag, I took the plunge and bought one.
I wear it on the wrist now and it doesn't bother me at all,It's robust,very light, all in all a superb bit of kit.
I didn't like the idea of all the subscription nonsense with Skycaddie, so that's what swayed me towards the Garmin.No regrets

One question.
How is the battery life ?
Does it last 18/27/36 holes on one charge ?

I fully charged mine before I used it.
I went to the practice field at 10am & turned it on & hit a few balls to get some club distances.
I then played 9 holes + a few odd holes here & there.
I got home at about 5pm & checked the battery symbol & it was still showing half battery life.
So that was 7 hours in full GPS mode & I only used half the battery life.

As others have said, this bit of kit will definitely save me shots during my round & for those of you who don't normally wear a watch, it's so light & unobtrusive after a short while you won't even notice you are wearing it until you look at it for a yardage reading.

Had mine over a year now but it won't do 36 holes if you forget to charge it. Usually turns itself off after about 30 holes. Great piece of kit though and I always used to take my watch off to play but don't even notice this is on now.

Mine won't make anything like 36 holes, even on a full charge. 18 no problem, 27 with a bit of luck, 28 and I'm guessing what the time is.
