'funny sight' on the course today

During the summer I was in the front bunker at our 17th and noticed what I thought was a fishing lure sticking out the sand (could only see the top of tail). I grabbed the rake and tried to remove it but it was quite heavy so I dug the rake in, pulled towards the front of the bunker and out popped this fish that was about a foot long.

I'm not sure if some kids or a dog stole it from someone fishing down beach and then tried to bury it in the bunker. I think it would have been too heavy for a bird to drop, it was a decent size and weight. We were all confused to be honest, it was mostly buried and the sand around it was pretty neat.

In my match today on the 10th hole we both played to the raised green from about 120yds. When we got to the green we found that our balls had finished up equidistant and touching each other.

Few years back, when I was a member at Muckhart, my mate went to take his shot out of a bunker beside the 7th green on the 9 that played up the hillside.

Took his stance, took his swing and sliced a perfect hole in the top of a flying ant colony that was just below the surface.

Him dropping his wedge and doing his exit stage left dance still amuses me to this day as they swarmed him 😁.

Just left the wedge in the bunker too.

Reminds me of when I was caddying for a very posh couple as a young teenager.
They were playing in a foursomes Trophy, and all had caddies.
The men had driven at a blind tee shot.
We crested the hill to find the two balls almost touching.
One of the ladies said 'I haven't seen two balls together like that for years'.
My fellow young caddy started sniggering which set me off then the rest of the men realised what was happening and it set them off.
Six men walking along with the giggles and then the Ladies realised why and found it difficult to keep a straight face.:ROFLMAO:

Played a course in Cuba a good few years back. Zanadau/ Varadero golf club. I had just finished playing and the 18th green overlooks the sea. I had just finished putting out and saw this guy who had been spear fishing walk up from the beach. He put the fish down on the first cut at the side of the green and proceeded to gut the fish. There was seagulls everywhere. I walked down to the 19th and had a beer with Missis T. He then walked into the 19th and had a natter with the Chef. Said Chef inspected the fish, money exchanged hands and so did the fish.
Another thing about the day that missis T has just reminded me of. I got a taxi to and from the course. Going we went in a model T Ford bodied car which was probably built onto a Camaro chassis. I felt sea sick getting out. Coming back we sat in a Cadillac. 😁

And then everyone clapped
