Porridge is alright but you'll be digging in your golf bag for a twix by the 7th, porridge is pretty low in calories even if it is high in soluble fibre.
Very true. When playing golf it's great because nothing puts you out of your stride and concentration like hunger pangs.
Apart from a breakfast, is there anything else the Scots like that is remotely English??
I am reminded that the Scots are very much like Aussies. They will tell you that they both come from the greatest country in the world, but still live and work in England.
Melton Mowbray pies and Liz Hurley for a start!
Never claimed Scotland was the greatest country in the world to anyone and please don't liken me to an Aussie.

the Aussies do have claim to one great invention - the pie floater, pea and ham soup with a meat pie in it.
sadly, the brasserie at my club doesn't include it on the menu.
Place one of a napkin - see how much fat soaks out of it!
Napkin?? That's a bit posh, isn't it?
I've just unloaded 6 rocky bars, 3 "duo" double deckers and 5 tunnocks into my bag for tomorrow. I expect some of them will still be around come September, but at least I won't be hungry.
Nothing better than feeling peckish and finding a Mars hidden amongst spare gloves and the odd kitchen sink.
Full English, cos I'm not gay.
