My friends son has only recently started playing golf and he's as keen as mustard. Not only about playing, but really getting into the history and traditions.
He asked me to gauge his swing for him but I'm not nearly as qualified as others on here, so he allowed me to put it up for your assessment. It looks pretty good to me.

He's been playing for about a year and he's 14.

You Know him?
I played with him at Carnoustie last year and he gave me a lesson. Very consistent ball striker.
I noticed he grips way down the grip too Tommo. I think he may benefit from a fitting session, but he's growing about an inch a month still at that age.

Believe it or not but ive played a few rounds with him before and he does hit the ball good for his age but his stance is slightly open(if he wasnt playing for a fade) and how much does he choke down on his clubs. The thing ive noticed though is that his putting is very streaky so if he sorts that out im sure cat 1 will be in his sights this season.

Is he getting any coaching?
There are a few things that I would like to improve.
Watch both his feet, they are all over the place.
not helped by his address position with his weight in his heals and what looks like a serious reverse C at the end of his swing. Not a problem as he is young but can lead to back problems later
