Great result, they deserved it after couple of narrow losses. If they had held on against Ireland they could have been looking at a top finish.

Ireland were gipped though. That was not a try for at least 2 reasons (spectator tuoched original ball, lineout taken with a different ball). No excuse when you have access to a video referree

That was poor but you have to feel sorry for the referee. It wasn't his mistake.
He asked his touch judge specifically if it was the same ball and his touch judge told him it was. He therefore didn't have any reason to go upstairs to the video referee.
A big mistake from the touch judge.
A huge shame really as you very very rarely see that kind of howler in rugby.

I don't think that the ref could have gone to the TMO for a decision as the TMO does not have any powers to adjudicate unless the query is to do with the try being scored (not what leads up to the try being scored).
Still, unlucky for Ireland to lose that way but Big Kudos to coach Declan Kidney who basically said that things like that don't really matter whn you consider the 1,000s dead in Japan.
