Forum Meet @ Brough GC in 2011 ?

Hi all,
we did try and arrange a 'mini' Forum meet at Brough late in 2010, before I cocked up on the date etc, but just wondered how many might be up for it this summer if I can get a deal out of the Club etc ?

Forget early summer, the course never really blooms till May, but with our new 'Master Greensman' at the helm, I think its gonna look superb this summer.

I doubt I can use up another day's holiday for another forum meet (since I'm already going to Blackmoor and Beau Desert) but if it happens to be organised for a weekend, I would be very interested.

If we both end up going you could drive as far as mine and we could share the cost from there.

Sounds promising, and once things pick up, I'll see what the Club will offer for a weekend meet perhaps, I know it would be easier for a lot, me included, and I live a mile away !

Ahhh the 12th, yes that would be interesting just how many on the day manage to walk of with a 3, I'll remember that.
Would need permission to perhaps play off Whites/medal tees for the day, so you can all experience the course at its best.

Just had a look at there webb site and weekends are for members and guest, 4 in total, so if a few or going to attend looks like a mid week meet, if someone wants to car share from the North West then count me in.

gjbike, that sounds a plan, can arrange nearer the time as you say.

I'm not a member anywhere due to a) only getting back into it last year and b) lack of time with an 18 month old to make it worthwhile at the moment.

I live halfway between preston and blackpool so me and some fellow nomads play a number of courses round here.

What are the courses round your way like? Worth a visit?
