Ok, here's what happened.
Smiffy carves one in the trees. We all go and look for it.
After what seemed an age, Smiffy finally gives it up and says "well, thats my 5 minutes up"
As I didn't have a watch on, I took his word for it.
Walking back to his bag, he spots a ball out on the other side of the fairway. He goes to check it and sure enough it's his.
If it had been a friendly, of course you could have played it.
But in a team match, rulez is rulez
So, not only did he play off the wrong handicap, he threw his 9 iron around the course so much he eventually lost it, he also wanted 6 minutes to find his ball.

No wonder I took pity on him and let him half the 18th to win the game.

looking at the draw for Woodall Spa, what about this lot.

Drawn out this evening, no manipulation, these are the groups for the first round at Woodhall Spa.
The second round groups will be in "leaderboard order" with the four best scores from the first round obviously going out last.

So are we actually saying we won the GM vs Golf Tragic Forum match??? If anecdotal evidence is good enough to get Padraig DQ'd, then it's good enough for Rob (Saltman) Smiffy.

Smiffy you can return the winning trophy at your leisure and I can now sleep in peace knowing that I didn't captain a losing side.....
