I have just played in our annual "Tennis Club" Golf Day and wanted advice on how to organise in future years.

The format was mainly teams of 4 but, because of numbers, there were two teams of 3.

Everyone was playing off 3/4 handicap, the scoring was Stableford and it was the best 2 scores for each team that counted.

This clearly puts the teams of 3 at a disadvantage and I wonder if anyone has any suggestions of how to tweak this format to even things up.

Thanks

After many years of different ways we settled on the following which has been adopted by other 'fiddle' groups in our club. We have now used this method for about 8-10 years playing 3 times a week and it works very well.

4 man teams - three best scores
3 man teams - second best score counts twice.
