Four of us are off to the Nottingham area in June, I was thinking of this format for a little bit of friendly competition.

Sunday: Copt Heath Golf Club
Monday: Hollinwell Golf Club
Tuesday: Sherwood Forest Golf Club
Pairs, 4 ball better ball stableford – different pairings for each round, drawn before play.

Wednesday: Coxmoor Golf Club
Singles stableford:

Winner will be the player with the highest points amassed across the 4 courses.

Any thoughts?
Trying to make it so anyone can have a mare or two and still pick up decent points if their playing partner does well on the first few days.

If its a bit of fun you could play 666 on one of your pairs rounds. first sx holes normal 4bbb scoring, next 6 holes add both stableford points together (you & your partners), last 6 holes you multiply the 2 scores together. It makes for a very interesting last 6 holes.

We just play stableford on each day, with the winner on each day getting docked two shots (no matter what they score). We play for a tiny cup on each day which all have names.

This is what we've come up with.

Sunday: Copt Heath Golf Club

Monday: Hollinwell Golf Club

Tuesday: Sherwood Forest Golf Club

Pairs, 4 ball better ball matchplay – different pairings for each round, drawn before play.

10pts per team member for a win each day, points split if a tie.

Winning team each day lose one handicap (index) shot each, losers gain one shot.

Bonus points: for each nett birdie or better made by an individual, one bonus point.

Wednesday: Coxmoor Golf Club
Singles stableford.

50pts for first, 40pts for second, 30pts for third, 20pts for fourth.

(Normal countback rules apply.)

Overall leaderboard ties determined by highest stableford at Coxmoor, then back nine, then back 6 then back 3.

Main thing - we all have fun and don't need to buy any additional golf balls when we're away haha

4 of us, 3 rounds, we each get to play with everyone. Pair total would be the individual total each day.

If you are all of a similar standard, you could add bonus individual points on each of the pairs rounds - two points each, say, for nearest the pin, longest drive and nearest the longest par 5 in three
