Had the great pleasure of playing at Wollaton park golf club yesterday. A competition format of mixed pairs doubles greensomes, for anyone not played this format it was good fun and a help on the long par fours, and off ladies tees, seven par fives
From arrival to departure friendly informative and very picturesque. Good practise ground, range, chip and put course, as well as normal chipping and putting area.
We had a seasonal rule for retrieving your ball if it should end up in a group of rutting stags .... didn't see any but several groups of hinds.
The course covers a large area, plenty of room for the joggers and dog walkers and golfers, and it was a sunny Sunday morning.
I would thoroughly recommend making a visit here and for two days Sherwood Forest golf course at Mansfield is just up the road.
Hard to believe the course is right next to Queens Med in the centre of Nottingham, the sirens are a bit of a hint though.
