"For please, now driving"

I remember when the starter used to go through all the players wins and when Tiger was about to start the other player saying something like
" Stop, stop enough all ready"
(May have been the US Open)

That rings a bell, I think it was Thomas or Spieth but can't quite remember.

It was Mickelson at first when they announced all of Woods wins etc

Then at another comp the announcer just announced Woods achievements no one else and people laughed - then the next day they rolled off all of Thomas including junior stuff etc

...and why does he have to shout? Whats wrong with a restrained announcement into a microphone?

I guess the same reason you shout FORE and don't whisper it quietly. And he is American.

Or have you been following the pros and you don't shout anything in the hope it bounces off a bystander back on to the fairway? 😆

What's the difference between a golf ball and a Range Rover?

Tiger Woods can drive a golf ball 300 yards without hitting a tree.
As an alternative punchline

I can drive a Range Rover further than Tiger Woods

The reason he doesn’t need to shout is that he is surrounded by a quietened crowd, he is already miked up for the TV and he isn’t warning people 300 yards away that they might get hit on the head (obviously he doesn’t start any announcement whilst there are still players) on the fairway within range.
The shout of “Fore” is merely the first word in his announcement to the crowd just as other announcers the world over introduce players, only they all use mikes or at least don’t yell.

This is America - he's surrounded by noisy people whooping.
