Afternoon,

I was just wondering if anyone has any experiences with footjoy sport shoes and breaking them in. I went to a pro shop on Friday and had my feet measured using the footjoy measuring device and came back with a size 8 medium. Nothing to strange there and they felt comfy in the shop.
Wore them on Sunday and by the end of the round I could really feel pinching on the sides by my little toe. There is plenty of room at the front so what Im wondering is do they need well broken in or should I have gettin the next size up.

Anyone else had to break theirs in or were ther ok straight out the box?

richy, not much help but im a 10 in normal shoes and trainers, my FJ Sports are a standard 10 (not wide fit) and they fit fine. My only grumble with them is they seem to be agrevating my big toe on the inside where i broke it years ago.

Did you get the multi coloured in soles or the grey insoles?

if their insoles are grey you may find they will sepperate around the toe where the sole meets the leather upper. I got them when they first come out and after 2 or 3 rounds, both shoes went here. I spoke with the shop they come from who agreed to cover them under warrenty. The first set i had which im told where the first batch had plain grey insoles, the replacements i had come with a multi coloured grey/white insole with a pattern on it and they have been fine.

I'm normally a 9, and ordered an 8.5 wide as the medium felt a but too tight.

Now they have stretched a bit I'm wishing I'd have stuck with the medium, so they should give some after a few wears.

I found the same issue on the first pair of FJ Icons that I bought.

I just used a shoe tree with a plug where my little toe would be, to sort this out, and I now do the same to all the Icons I buy before wearing them as a matter of course.

My trainers and work shoes are all size 10.
My 3 pairs of golf shoes (some FJ) are all size 9.

Maybe my feet shrink when all the blood goes to my huge (not!) golfing brain?

Or perhaps it's in the socks?

Either way, logic suggests golf shoes are probably a bit roomy....but that goes against your argument.....

I'm lost. :o :D

I've got a pair and my little toe on my right foot was sore during my first round.. I just loosened the bottom laces a little and have not had the problem since.
