Well today the new shoes had their second outing, as last week was frozen not too dirty etc but cleaned them any way!! Well my round this morning it decided to throw it done for about 5 holes. Now these shoes are sold as waterproof but my feet were getting wet!! The water running down my waterproof trousers and onto the shoes, but was getting inside via the tongue. They were pretty tight so couldn't really do them up some more without cutting the circulation of to my toes!!

Basically seeing if anyone else has had this problem with these shows before I complain as spending £80 they are no better than my old ones! Or am I just expecting too much from them!!

Ive had mine for a while, worn them in bad rain and marched through muddy puddles and standing water

Not had any problems

Sounds like the water from your troosers is being directed on top of your shoe, is this more a problem with your troosers, should they be an inch or so longer? then water would deflect around the bit where your foot goes.

Just a thought

Unless you use wellies I dont think there are such thing as waterproof golf shoes.

All of my Footjoys (including a pair of BOA Contours) are sold as waterproof but if it were really bucketing down and running down my waterproofs onto my shoes, I guess that they would all let some in to some extent too.

This is what I was thinking, it was basically running off my trousers onto the last inch of the tongue area, my feet weren't soaked but could feel them getting wet. Problem with longer trousers is that I end up walking on the back of them. No pleasing some people!!

And you'd know all about that Fragger - Monsters of Rock at Donnngton 1981 or 2:rofl:
So far back in the mists of time I can't remember

careful or we shall have someone complaining that the thread is going "off Subject"

Anyway, we were at the 1981 Monsters of Rock bash and it was raining hard enough to fill a contour shoe with or without Boa lacing ( keeping it on thread see) . All these, mostly empty, plastic cider bottles were being thrown about and the air was full of them. One landed near me so I kicked it, Bottle went one way, Trainer went the other. last time I saw my trainer was being thrown towards the stage.

Cue tesco bag and lacky band, saved the day, I was the driver, so I had to borrow Imurgs trainers to drive home, they were too big and wet ( a bit like him)

Happy Days
