Besides all my rants about my rather (poorly rated) Adidas ATV 360 shoes, my other problem with shoes is that my laces seem to come off very often - probably 2 or 3 times a round. Especially during these cold & wet times. With my previous shoes, I would just put a double knot on the laces and they would last a round. However, with the Adidas, I realized that the laces seem to be getting shorter (do I hear cost cutting), so difficult to do a double knot with my man sized fingers.

Was looking at some FJs and came across the BOA system. Is it any good? I am surprised why it has not taken off if it works the way they advertise..

It defintely works - and, AFIK, the BOA system is guaranteed for the life of the shoe - never had any problems.

Glad to hear guys.. this one is staying on the wishlist. Right now have to live with the ATV as they are guaranteed till Dec. if they outlast this year then I am moving to FJ. Else getting on fleabay to buy an extra long lace or Running shoe laces

Bought pair of boa contour last year can vouch for lacing system and prefer them to dryjoys and sports tthat i have which have laces. Was thinking about trainer golf shoe without spikes for next shoe purchase . Footjoy could add boa system to spikeless shoe , might be a winner for them.

I had the contours with the boa lacing. Unfortunately in my case the shoes leaked every time the grass was wet let alone raining! The boa system was great though. Think mine were just Friday afternoon ones to be honest! My current Nike lunars are great but have a similar problem that some rounds the laces just won't stayed tied!

I had a pair of Contours with the Boa Lacing System and whilst I had them they worked fine, in fact I really liked them and found the Boa far better than normal laces. Problem is that the lacing system jammed on one shoe and stopped working. FJ were very good and exchanged them with no fuss. Problem is that the change in sole design on the newer contours hurt my feet. Luckily FJ stepped up to the plate again and changed them for Dryjoy Tours.

Had boa sports, best thing about the shoes was the boa system as they split like every other pair of sports, althought this years sport looks like they have addressed this issue

What I did notice with the boa is the shoe come up slightly bigger, 10 reg in laced versions but 9.5 reg in the boa version

On my 3rd pair of FJ Contours with the Boa system. Brilliant!

And if you suffer from a bad back they are the dog's danglies for ease of getting off at the end of the round...
