Haha very true. I rarely get sacked in FM, not because I'm awesome at the game, but because I've normally jumped ship to a new save way before that happens, so you're more patient than me![]()
I once got sacked as the Liverpool manager.
I binned most of the first team and tried my hardest to get them relegated ................................... but I ran out of time as I was sacked before I could realise my dream!!
My dad used to play it with me back in the days when I lived with the old folks, and if he got sacked from a club he would get his revenge by adding a new manager as them and releasing as many players as possible and wasting their money on old has-beens.Haha I've done that before to Liverpool. Sold all the good players and then bought a load of terrible players on massive 5 year contracts with Yearly Wage Rise of 50%. Never got far enough through the save after to see how badly they struggled but always fun![]()

It's all about Football Manager 2005. Started off in the first season as Colchester manager. Now up to 2011 and the image shows my current team. Also got Zlatan, Wesley Snieder, Kaka, Casillas, Komany and Lahm in reserve. Have won the league in every season apart from the first year when I managed to get promotion and won the last three Champions Leagues.

Tend to agree with the above, that is an insane squad and if I remember FM05 correctly just about as good a squad as you can get, despite being only 6 seasons in with a team that don't start in the PL. Would be interested to see the Transfer History.
Not to call foul, but what extras did you use?
In all my years playing it and managing Saints, having won many a title. I've never had a budget afforded to me that would get that squad after six seasons. Even if the players were all free.
Am I one of the few that hasn't played it? Silly question, but a) is it worth it and b) how easy is it to get into
It was all just my natural managerial brilliance and knowledge of football that meant I was able to do it.
Or alternatively...........
In the 2005 version you can manage more than one team in the same game. So you can manage as many other teams as you want all in the same game. In my first season I initially played as a couple of teams from higher up the league and a couple from the bottom of the league above and released players who I then picked up on a free for Col U and then resigned as their manager. Add to that managing Man Utd/Barca/Inter and spending their entire transfer budget on one of the Col U reserve players before resigning gave me a massive transfer budget to use once I started to move up through the leagues.
I'll let you decide which of those options is the most likely.![]()
This years game is much more accessible than previous years. The new inductions give you a great introduction and tutorial. Also, every copy of FM comes with FM Touch which is a scaled down, simpler version of the full-game which is the perfect way to get into the series. If you're into football and have a decent PC to play it on, I'd definitely recommend it.
Are they two separate games? If I use the FM touch to get started will effect the main game playThis years game is much more accessible than previous years.
