Might have to pay a visit to the Callaway fitting center to get a one hour go on the launch monitor

I had a play with Callway opti-fit today and tried 4 different combinations of shaft and heads - they all seemed to go exactly the same!! If there was any difference it was marginal and not visible to the naked eye.
The 4 shafts were Fubuki 63 stiff and reg, Fubuki 60 stiff and reg matched with 4 different heads.

Damn!

I think without a LM it is impossible to guess which head / shaft combo is the best.

Not sure why you want a Cally though. Ugly.

As an aside, I tried Matrix Ozik xcon 5 and 6 in stiff, and I couldn't see a difference either. The fitter recommended the 6 though, as to his trained eye, it looked a better fit. The results were similar though, even the stats off the LM.

I had a callaway ft3 many moons ago and have tried a mates ft5, and also hit a fti square spongebob thingy and I honestly dont think that callaway have ever improved on the ft3!

Thats just my opinion though.

I would spend loads of time getting the correct shaft though, thats very important and dont let them rush you or talk you into a shaft that your not convinced by. It sounds as though you need more time and options.

I do love the Cally centre. I can happily spend lots of time there just hitting the varying shaft and head options. I have to say though as a shft for drivers the Matrix I have in my R7 Limited is by far the best I've ever had and I'm the most confident with a driver I've ever been and marginally longer (well for a short hitting wuss like me anyway)

I have ordered one on the fly, 9.5° Tour with Fubuki 63 stiff

After ordering one suddenly two others have become available so I thought I'd get those made up and tested too.... couldn't tell which was what or where
