FJ Pro Joy socks?

When we see this sort of thread I always have a look at the handicaps of the posters and find it quite amusing!!
[Not for one moment am I suggesting that all high handicappers are easily fooled]

So only high Handicapers buy socks that cost £7 a pair which really isn't that much, a pair of CK boxer shorts cost £10 or more. If you prefer your Lidl specials then good luck when they are no good after two wears.

Your post is stupid really as I'm sure many people with HCP's below 10 buy golf socks. I don't smoke I drink rarely so a pair of socks that aren't really that expensive wont make me bankrupt. If it was a post regarding a new club that gives 50 extra YRDS then you may have a point but unfortunately its a pair of socks and no one is suggesting any performance gains just added comfort. I'm afraid you look a little silly attacking so called high handicappers for buying some socks.

What's a golf handicap got to do with the type of socks worn?

I wear FJ, adidas, Wilson, UA, Nike and Aldi golf socks. Can you guess what my handicap is?

Well........... Taylor Made woods, Ping irons, 4 wedges, Calvin Greens, Under Armour, Footjoy socks. At a guess I would say that you are a well off banker with a 21 handicap or a live at home teenager off 6.

Ha ha! Great try!
Banker: nope, can't count (mind you that doesn't seem to be a pre-requisite)
Teenager: not since the days of three TV channels
Well off: not with three kids, a wife and an ex wife!

Was thinking of getting some Sealskin socks but I've never had soaking feet so though there wasn't any point. Generally if it is really wet or snowy (like today) I don't golf and the bike stays in the garage.

Aldi do some decent stuff occasionally. The golf socks are ventilated and their golf gloves aren't bad for a few ££. I also got a wind proof, water resistant jacket (NO Crane Sports logo on it) for £20 and it is a bargain, especially when compared to the price of my GG one

I had a pair of the FJ ones , they were comfy and I could tell the difference between them and the normal golf ones I wear. Notice how I said had a pair..... My wife shrunk them in wash.:(

I also have the sealskinz socks, i don't wear them for golf but they are fantastic as well.

Had a look in Blacks this morning and 1000 mile socks [which my daughter swears by] are £15 a pair.
Regarding my earlier comment, when I first started work in 1963 I would have had to work four weeks to earn £14.
I suppose I found that difficult to relate to the cost of a couple of pairs golf socks...........getting old!!

But what has price of socks got to do with handicap is what got me puzzled? Socks nowadays has as much technical properties than the rest of your clothes.

I wore a pair of Donney Black sports socks the other day and I'm sure they were the reason I missed an easy putt on the last hole.

Golf socks? Yer all mad.

I bought the fj socks 3 in a pack for about £12 inc pp, they don't have the thicker souls their £10 a pair socks have, but still good socks, no fluff comes off. and they last twice as long if you only have one leg.
