Am only just getting used to comp pressure off winter tees, and mats - now all the tees are going back 50yds today, and I won't get the benefit of teeing it up for those long approaches either!
Whilst I'm not too confident of playing to my handicap in my first summer, I am quite excited by the challenge today - I suppose its "real" golf from here on.
Fittingly, its forecast sleet and rain - kind of ironic since I've played for most of the last 8 weeks in "winter" and not been rained on yet! Roll on the proper summer weather (some of that sunshine you have forecast for Ascot would be nice...)
