Hello I’ve just completed my first 3 handicap rounds - scores were:
100
106
92

I know the scores rounded down to double bogey max - the 92 round would go down to 89 with an 8 and 7 rounded down to 6s (par4s) I don’t have the other cards as they have been handed in.
Course par is 66.

Any ideas what my first handicap should be roughly??

Thanks in advance!

Defiantly got the golfing bug already! 🐛

things have changed this year and the double bogey rule no longer applies, the most you can have on any one hole is double par, so your score of 92 would be used and that is 26 over SSS, there is an algorithm that that almost 10% off that so I would think your handicap would be 23.

Thanks for the replies both ,21-23 would give me half a chance of shooting a decent score in a comp at least in the future!
Don't be surprised if your fellow golfers are rather fed up as you're only supposed to do this less than a third of the time... & I think that'll be Net 70 at your place :oops:
