Hi all,

Have been playing golf for about 9 months now and yesterday got my first birdie! It was a shortish par 4 - I hit a decent enough drive, but was slightly to the left, then hit a 7 iron to within about 2 feet of the hole and duly dropped the putt (despite shaking slightly at the thought of my first birdie!) Was absolutey delighted as you can imagine!

Can anyone remember their first birdie or eagle?

I had my first eagle on my first round!
Par 4, hit my 5 wood to about 30 feet then chipped it in with one bounce of the ball.
Still awaiting my second after nearly a year playing!

Well done mate, hope you repeat your success soon.

those are the shot's/holes that take us back for another round.

I don't get upset with a round as long as i can take something positive from the round.

well done redmike.

Well done mate, been playing for 11 months and no birdies yet. Missed one by mms but thats golf. I'll probably rip my shirt off and run around the green like a loon when my first one drops...

May you have many more redmike!

My first was a fluked 5 iron to 4 or 5 foot. (Gatton Manor)
My first eagle was a chip-in on a par 5. Never eagled a par 4. I've hit/broken the plastic rim of the cup on the hole (par 3s) on a few occasions, never holed out though!

Enjoy your golf....you'll be chasing them more and more now!!

Can't remember the first but I allways remember my last birdie.

In October I hadnt had my first birdie after starting in July and then got 3 birdies in one round and on them I hit the green with my driver on two four par holes and left with 6 pars as well!!! shot a 49 on 9 holes yesterday :-( but I won the 9th with a birdie against a couple of low handicapers which made my day ;-)

Whoever recommended me the Cobra F over the TM 460 is owed a pint from me. Top club and I am thinking of sticking with Cobra for the rest of my woods, the noise is bad but the feeling is great.
