Can a new member submit 3 cards for a first handicap, when preferred lies are in play ?, and how many temporary greens are allowed ?, if any.

I think it's yes and no more than 2 temps over the measured course. Said temps should not alter the course by +or- 100yds. Oh, and not bucket holes.

My original h/c was calculated on winter cards. Can't remember about tees/greens.
But I did get an "adjustment" about 4-weeks later of -2.4
Fair dinkums it was, I did try telling the h/c sec. at the time that I thought it too generous!

Amanda is correct, I would also add that it has to be preferred lies on closely mown areas only.
