I have been pleased with my overall game this summer getting my lowest score down to 80. I am however still struggling with putting and am not helping matters with constant changing of grips and wands. I have dabbled with the prayer grip, Left below right and think wayyyyyyyy too much. Is putting a bespoke art where I should adopt a technique that feels perfect for me or is there a reason why holding putter through lifelines should be more preferable than through fingers and thumbs straight down shaft for instance. I have been trying the Mel Reid grip where the little finger is placed between the thumb and fore finger on the shaft and like the feel, but this seems to place the putter more in the fingers rather than the palm!
Guess I'm just wondering if there is a definitive answer or if it works, go with what feels right! Doing my head in, chopping and changing! Sure it will be the difference to breaking 80 in the future
