Final hole?

Ours is a mere 335 yards and all about the drive with OB all the way up the left and a copse of trees right of the fairway bang on driving distance. Nothing more than a short iron if you get the drive right but a positive nerve jangler and a brilliant finishing hole. I've had every number between 2 and 9. Always a simple par .... until you need one.

Par 5 about 520 yds with a ditch accross the fairway about 380 off the tee.

Unlike many on here who would go for the carry, I would probably take a 5 or 7 wood off the tee to lay up just short of the ditch and leave myself a full gap wedge in. :p :p

1 putt. Eagle. Ta very much :D :D

Show off.
I hit driver as far as I can, hopefully get a 3 wood over the ditch, try and avoid the pond and bunker with my 9 iron and hope to not 3 putt :D

Our last hole is one of the best on the course, and one of the hardest. 400 yards up hill to a very narrow green that slopes severly from back to front. If you get above the hole it is almost impossible to leave your putt short, and easy to putt off the green. If you miss the green a foot right you fall down a huge bomb like crater, 30 foot deep. Miss left you are in the clubhouse or car park and out of bounds.

It is probably the most memorable hole on the course, and a card wrecker.

First things first, hello to all fellow golfers! just found this Forum so throught I would join in.

Our 18th is a par 3, 162 off the whites. Sounds easy, but its over the lake in front of the clubhouse, so a real nerve tester.

Also, a ditch and bunker protect the green to the left and a well posiitoned bunker to the right means you have a delicate chip if you push it right.

According to some of the older members it has claimed some victims over the Years, including a potential course record a few years back when a club ended up in the lake after a few tee shots.

Green guarded by pond and bunker...........

Blimey, that looks a bit of an open course... who stole all the trees?
