Films

Last night.
Jaws. 50 years old.
9 of us watched it, grandkids never seen it.
Forgotten how good it is.
Followed by "The making of Jaws".
I sat my kids through it a few years ago. Gave it the big build up. My wife and I still were freaked by it, our kids just laughed at the shark. I'm still chastened by the experience 😞

(Still a brilliant film imo, no matter what my heathen children say)

The latest Knives Out film. Enjoyed it. It's more serious than the others and like most films, it's too long. Well worth watching though.

Impressive from the lead guy, not Daniel Craig. From a role in The Durrells, this is a major breakthrough (I know he's done other things but this is a big one). He was very good in this 👍

We watched it last night and your observations are spot on, half and hour too long and there were numerous “filler” scenes that could have been left on the cutting room floor, still enjoyed it though.
Did you guess the killer straight away? I used the Death In Paradise technique lol and it turned out to be correct 🧐

I find it easier to watch the last 5 mins first

About 20 minutes in. I think the how was more fun than the who or why (although once you knew who the why wasn't tricky to work out)

Having a Denzel session this weekend, starting with Equaliser last night and American Gangster this afternoon. Will watch one of my top 5 films of all time later - Man on Fire.

Regular TV/Amazon/Not found it yet (for those who get irritated, even at Christmas, if they're not spoon fed)

Probably best then that you didn't tell them that the film crew's name for the shark was Bruce.
