Went to see F1 last night. Action sequences superb, Brad Pitt and other main characters - acted brilliantly. Cameos everywhere.
Plot - yeah right.
But as James Cosmo said when people criticised Braveheart, "We're making a film not a documentary".
So go to be entertained, just don't expect reality.
Totally agree with the above now - we saw it last night. Just as expected, good fun, cheese, and great action.

Nit-picking, personally I would have liked to see more of the racing and F1 drivers in the movie.

There's room for F1-II.

In reality, Brad Pitt gets kicked out of F1 within three races once the FIA listen to the cockpit-pit radio.

We have Just watched the new Superman. It was great! Classic James Gun, (Guardians of the Galaxy, Suicide Squad) movie. The main actor David Corenswet (?) is the dead spit of Henry Cavil, but the star is Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, just so good. The only negative was the CGI superdog 😁
The whole thing was even more enjoyable as we watched it in a small independent cinema in Cornwall, https://www.rebelcinema.co.uk/
fair ticket price and 3 drinks and 3 popcorn’s were £11. Can’t go wrong. 👍
We saw it last night. Bit of a strange one though, as both myself & HIDs said the same thing - the first 15-20 mins were a bit iffy and neither of us were sure about it but it got better the more you got into it.
It was a different version of Superman, played as very vulnerable, which has potentially upset long term Superman fans. My mate is a die hard DC fan & hated it.
Nicholas Hoult was good as Lex - first incarnation of Lex who seemed genuinely evil

Finally sat down to watch Close Encounters of the Third Kind on a big f-o television. Wow. Yes it's slow because it's 70s but the cinematography is stunning - Spielberg is in a class of his own.
Star Wars was the kids' action sci-fi film, Close Encounters was the more adult sci-fi one.
Allegedy I am an adult now (disclaimer here) but both are master pieces of science fiction film-making.

The Unholy Trinity, starring Pierce Brosnan & Samuel L Jackson. A western.

Wish I’d checked on Rotten Tomatoes before I watched it. 36%, which I thought was a touch high. It seemed too fast paced, which didn’t seem to give any time to create any depth to the storyline.

Just got back from watching Superman on the IMAX screen at the local Odeon. Absolutely incredible experience, and I'd say the best Superman since the original.

I just don't understand why they keep remaking them so quickly these days. Haven't we just had about 4 Superman films in the last decade or so with Henry Cavill? Could've waited a bit longer before remaking it again.
