Films

Well we watched Happy Gilmore 2. Not exactly an Oscar winner but the outrageous amount of cameos gave me a few chuckles. Probably a few too many call-backs to the original, but if you liked that you'll get a kick out of this one still.

I wish I’d read this last night before we watched it. I thought it was poor. It felt like a series cameos featuring some ham acting from current/former golfers strung together. I didn’t enjoy it at all.

That's fair. I had to explain a couple of the jokes involving the real life pros to my wife so I'm not sure how much it she got. As I said above, probably too many call-backs gags with clips of the old film, it almost felt like a whistful tribute to it at times.

I thought Scheffler and Daly were surprisingly good on camera, whereas Faldo and Rory were probably the worst actors. 😆

Ha Rory and Faldo were awful. It wouldn’t surprise me if there’s a film/sitcom based around
Daly. Scheffler isn’t picking up an Oscar any time soon but at least he’s comfortable having a laugh at himself.

I just don't understand why they keep remaking them so quickly these days. Haven't we just had about 4 Superman films in the last decade or so with Henry Cavill? Could've waited a bit longer before remaking it again.

It is technically over a decade since the last solo Superman film though you could class Batman v Superman as well but still 9 years ago. He was only in the final act of Justice League. At least James Gunn did not redo the whole origin story and just told a new story using the character.

Took the kids to see the new Superman as my lad wanted to see it!

What a waste of time, even the kids walked out saying the film had no really story line and was just a mess of random different scenes/scenarios put together to make it feature length. Was truly terrible the only good part was eating a bucket load of sweets! Roll on Friday when they want to see Fantastic Four!

Fantastic Four. A bit meh for me, left me a bit cold.

For reference, there are two post film clips. Stay for the first, it's quite early thankfully. Leave then. The second, at the very end, is just a bit of an old fantastic 4 cartoon clip. It has no bearing on any future film, it's just a little bit of nostalgia for anyone of that time.

Watched 28 Years Later last night, what a terrible film. The first one was so good, I didn't mind the 2nd too much but the third was just awful.

Seeing Jurassic World tonight and hopefully Superman tomorrow - a week without the kids, who are at my parents, so we're making the most of it.

I’d save your money on superman and just go for dinner. One of the worst films I’ve seen in the last 10years!

Massive John Wick fan, so paid to watch Ballerina on Amazon and enjoyed it.

Ana De Armas, so what's not to like, plus more violence than some threads on here, so you can imagine, it was violent :ROFLMAO:
