Saw the new Gladiator tonight. A 7 out of 10. Not the story depth of the first, it's all too rushed. Clearly spent a shedload on the sets and CGI. Okay, no more.

Daughter and friends went to see Wicked a few days ago. They loved it. Said you didn't have to know anything about it or have been to see it in the theatre to absolutely enjoy it. Me and mrs planning to go see it before Christmas.
Interestingly, the wife & her friend went to see it last night and although they both love musicals (& her friend has seen & enjoyed the stage show), they didn't like it at all - my wife just said that it wasn't very nice!
Her friend's other half & me were excused as we don't like musicals ;)

Saw this last weekend LT - I was unimpressed tbh. As you said, the story was very wishy washy & they just kept harping back to the original.
Also, Paul Mescal is no Russell Crowe

Can Disney not make good second movies anymore??

Moana 2? What a load of rubbish compared to the first

One good song which was just from the first

That's really disappointing. I'll still be going but that's a real shame. Loved Moana

Yeah same, it was bang average

Rotten tomatoes..

"It’s the kind of sequel that is probably the worst of them all – one that just feels like it is going through the motions with nothing much to offer."

Went to see Die Hard last night. Really enjoyed it in the cinema. but don’t get the whole “it’s a Xmas movie” vibe. Just because it’s set at Xmas doesn’t make it a Xmas movie.

Saw the trailer for the upcoming Robbie Williams film. Bizarre.

Went to see 'Conclave' yesterday. Based on the novel by Robert Harries. Who'd have thought that a film entirely set in a few rooms of the Vatican could be as engrossing as it was. Great performance from Ralph Fiennes.

Watched “Carry on” on Netflix last night, felt a bit like a take on die hard 2.

Was a decent easy watch.

I watched the Great Escape today (whether it being shown on 15 of December qualifies it as a Christmas film is another matter)

It is the first time I have watched it from the beginning.

It absolutely does. Same logic as everyone thinking "Stay Another Day" is a Christmas song just because they released it at Christmas and put snow in the video. 😂
