I watched the Historical Drama. Very enjoyable and thought provoking about the mentality of despots and politicians. Relating to Oppenheimer I never knew about the uranium mines.

The Siege of Jadotville

An Irish commander and his battalion of 150 men withstand a siege by 3,000 Congolese troops led by French and Belgian mercenaries working for mining corporations.

In Germany this week and it’s the only time when the little one accepts his babysitter, grandparents. They show 2 original version movies in this town, it’s a 50/50 shot of if I get to see Barbie or Oppenheimer… and I am not the one deciding.

On the other hand, I get to eat my favourite food in the world, Greek food like you get it in Greek restaurants in Germany.
I think I take a win on the food and compromise on the movie.
Barbie it was. I don’t get the hype, I don’t get the hate either. It’s just a OK movie.

I’ll will be watching Manhunter tonight at 11.15 on bbc 2 the prequall to The Silence of the Lambs and much better film.

Also it’s got Iron Butterfly’s ‘ In a Gadda da Vida ‘
soundtrack to the climax of the film which fits perfect to the story, it really is brilliant.

Took daughter to see Elemental today - great fun.

During the trailers it seems we will be going to see the Paw Patrol movie 😂

And one I can’t wait to see - The New Trolls one 😂

Strays 2023, a talking doggy film, easy to watch and quite funny, you actually forget its dogs talking but it's not really for kids. Lady and the Tramp naughty version but funnier lol.

Thoroughly enjoyed the latest Equaliser film. More violent than past ones but still top notch. Don't mess with Denzel 😄

Annoying moment of the night, trailer for Nun 2. The last film, the trailer, made me jump horribly at the time. I thought I'd made it through this trailer, avoided the screen, but then it got me at the end 🙄. I hate jumpy moments 😡

Watched a documentary on Netflix about the Portland Mavericks baseball team last night, Kurt Russel was in it although it was mainly about his father. Highly recommended even if you're not a baseball fan, I thought it was terrific.

We watched the Barbie movie. I didn't really think it was that great. You wouldn't expect this if you've not seen it, but it's high-concept stuff that doesn't make any sense. I guess there were a couple of funny parts, but the ending didn't have much of a pay-off either.
