I've been reading The Grey Man series, ironically I missed the first one on which this film is based. It's a poor man's Victor but decent enough. Is the film worth a look?

Went to the pictures to see Wes Anderson's 'Asteroid City'. Always like a Wes Anderson film. Beautifully filmed, and quite a stellar cast - but have to say came away without knowing a scooby what it was about.(OK, not quite true, but you'll know what I mean). Will have to see if again.. If you like Wes Anderson's films, you'll like this ...

A couple of bits of week day mediocrity for me.

Enola Holmes 2, an OK bit of mindless entertainment but quite fun in a 'Guy Ritchie Lite' sort of way.

Beast. Very 'Meh'. Never went beyond mildly suspenseful and really should have been filmed with an 18 certificate in mind. Been done so much better but was OK background entertainment.

Going for more anticipated mediocrity for the next 2 days with 'Extraction 2' and 'Don't worry Baby'

You can tell that all of the series I normally watch are coming to an end.

I enjoyed it,not a classic but decent enough.

Plus Ana De Armas is in it 🤤
I watched it last night. As you say decent enough. I have a feeling they merged two of the books for the film, happy to be corrected, but it stayed fairly faithful to key aspects. The odd character change but if you read the books you would not feel short changed by the film, I didn't anyway.

Wife has been out a fair bit this week so i've been able to watch the films that I know she'll dislike so went with Extraction 2, Kandahar and Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre. All pretty enjoyable although if I had to recommend one it's be a toss up between Kandahar and Operation Fortune with the latter just winning.

Went to see the new Harrison Ford film - think it was called Amnesia Jones and the Prostate of Doom - or something like that. Got very bored very quickly. Had all the Indiana Jones tropes in there - so much so that I was sure I'd already seen it all. And, dear God, it was long ...

Another one for the latest Indianna Jones film. Nowhere near as good as 1, 2 and 3 but equally not as bad as 4.

Lots of action, huge plot holes, lots of very old looking actors from past films. A decent enough 7 out of 10 but no more now please.

I'm not sure what is worse, 80 year old action heroes, or 77 year old rock stars.

It's a fair point, it's a massive leap of faith to believe the action is feasible. I guess films are lucky in that they can use body doubles, stunt men etc whereas the rock star with the dodgy voice and stiff bones is up there exposed. They do keep the physical stuff a bit more restrained to account for his age, we know they use a stunt double but they don't make it that obvious.

Watched a film from Northern Ireland on Netflix last night. Nightride. About a drug deal and almost the entire film is shot with a guy driving a car. Sounds pretty bad but was surprisingly good.
