Anybody else hit with a large rise in there fees for this year.

We got hit with a 9.8% rise which I thought was pretty steep.

The pensioners got hit with a 14.2% rise.

Only 9.8% - you lucky so & so. We've copped for a 25% increase. Ok, there are reasons (clubhouse has to be re-built & lease on course has gone up by £170,000) - but it's still a lot to find.

What's the reason for yours going up so much? 9.8 is a long way above inflation

Not had the invoice for next year yet but given the struggle to attract new members I'm not expecting any huge increase. Certainly nothing has been mentioned. If it does go too high I'm off to Maidenhead

No problem with the old people - they play the most golf!!

How much do you pay now then?

Can't complain about overall fees, the rise only brings it up to about £460.

No idea whats triggered the rise, I presume as its a relatively new course (12 years old) there obviously needing the cash to implement a few plans this year.

Either that or they just want a decent greenkeeper.

Or maybe they've just realised it's too cheap?!

Saunton - Just a couple of % taking us up to about 760 plus bar and union fees. So 850 ish for two courses - great value!.

Country membership rates are worth looking into just a few hundred pounds - makes sense as it can be up to 50-75 to play a round in high season anyway.

Course in great condition all year round - could have been around in carpet slippers today !!. No joining fees at moment as far as I am aware.

my home club malton and norton has gone upto £510 from £479 which isnt bad for a 27 hole course with excellent facilities like driving range, superb short game practice area, pro shop and good food and drink in the clubhouse.its the 2nd cheapest in the area (york - scarboro)

Our AGM is in Feb so fees will go up after that meeting. Not sure exactly what they are currently, they just get paid as necessary. i'm not going to leave a place I've enjoyed being a member of and playing at for the last 25 years.
