Fed up!

Barely used my Gary Greens this winter.

Would maybe speak with Walmersley Louise. A guy I play with @ MGC has a winter membership there, cost is literally peanuts.

Whilst it's exposed, they very rarely close.

Also, no idea what you pay @ Ellesmere for a full year, but I'd be surprised if Walmersley can't beat it . Once you factor in how often it's open, on paper at least, would likely work out better VFM,

I'd rather spend my free time with the family than waltz round Fleetsmack......

Only joking. It isn't as bad as I usually say it is. In fact, having not picked up the sticks for 3 months, it's starting to look quite attractive. Think of it as like Dawn French to a death row inmate.

I did play Walmersley last winter, and it is rarely closed. It is ok for the occasional round but I couldn't play there regularly, also despite it being open there are parts of the course that get a wet as anywhere.

Hey, she has lost weight now. If she cuts the rough back as well........

Lets face it, if you had 14 pints down you and she had the last pie barm in the world at 2.30 in the morning.

#donedeal.;)

Louise,
Warrington is in very good nick and well worth a visit.
I am not playing 18 at the moment due to a hernia or would invite you over.

I'd be all over it like a tramp on a discarded kebab mate. Unfortunately, I suspect that if she had a pie barm, it wouldn't last too long. #wholelottarosie

Just hold on for a few more weeks if not days ... I am sure spring is just around the corner.

I must admit that I have been incredibly lucky in my part of the world. While we had storm fronts and huge amounts of rainfall coming through during the week, it always cleared up enough in time for the weekend to get a round of golf in, and our course drained surprisingly well and stayed open most of the time (I think it was closed only twice this winter and just for one or two days each time), so I am quite happy. And I will be going to Spain for a week come Saturday. Life is good.

Sick of the bloody rain. Played twice the last 3 weeks. Course was closed all weekend just gone and then surprise surprise open again on Monday when I'm at work. Grr. Roll on Spain in April!

.

Sounds just like our place Dan!
Course closed all weekend then open today.

Luckily got a half day off work tomorrow so hoping to get some golf in!

Just been to spain for 3 days and, surprise surprise, we got rained off on Saturday...

Did get two full rounds in o the other days though, so not all bad.

Whereabouts in Spain was that? I'm just curious because I will be going to Costa Ballena (near Jerez) on Saturday. So far the weather forecast is looking promising, but I am sceptical, because I was in Portugal a month ago and had a bit of a nightmare weatherwise.

Another Saturday off the course this weekend. Hoping after that it's all systems go. Really feel I've missed out and every one else at the club has a massive head start on me. Still feeling positive about the year to come

Every Wednesday has terrible weather and that is my only day to play lot of weeks.

Today was lovely, Thursday Friday look like they going to be great, and tomorrow is a total write off...killer.

Still to play on a full course at The Zoo - just as we get a dry spell that tempts us with the possibility of a full set of greens, the deluge returns...
Water table is so high that any rain is a killer....
Glorious day today, if it wasn't going to lash it down tonight we might have been full course tomorrow...😖😥

If the table is high now, do you know how it will drop as the better weather comes? What happens if they get a couple of heavy days of deluges which given our summer is almost a given. Will it struggle to cope?
