Its been 10 days now since I have been on the course, it has rarely been open since last Wednesday, it is just so wet.
They did open 7 holes today on temps, but I, who will play in most conditions, couldn't see the point in going out for that especially as it was raining as well.

So I have been to the range a couple of times, tried out new clubs at American golf, but I am so bored.

The forecast for the next week doesn't look great either.

That is all, I just needed to have a moan.

Links golf is your saviour! About an hour for you to get to the coast?? :)

Be thankful you can get out on the course or even the range! I'm stuck in an office so cant get out as often as I want. Also, its been blowing a gale down South so not worth the hassle of even going to the range when I have a spare 30 minutes! I wonder if I can persuade 'Er Indoors to let me work at the weekends and play golf during the week?

I feel your pain :( After having a good winter here a lot of courses are closed and more rain forecast. Just want to be out practicing for the new season. Been at the range 3 times this week and had a lesson but still itching to get out on some real grass

I feel the same Louise, but then I think about all the mess around the world we have very little to complain about really. Chin up.

glad i played 27 holes last couple of days as hard to believe our course is gonna be playable for a while after whats come down this morning on top of how wet it already was. time to get some simulator time and work on the deficiencies for me!

i'm with you on this one Louise!

was meant to have a round this afternoon but cancelled my holiday due to forecast!

Course very likely to be closed tomorrow... You'd thought we'd be used to it in this country by now!

I am fed up as well having played 5 of the last 6 days, including three days of links golf. Royal Cinque Ports was wet on the day but all the other rounds were on dry courses. You don't need to get to a links course for dry winter golf though, try a heathland course. Really looking forward to a golf free weekend.

Winter membership at Fleetwood Louise, £270.
It probably work out at about £2 a round with the Amount you play. :D

Was just about to post this, but less the Fleetwood bit. Danny would rather play with Mick Fleetwood.;)

Leasowe used to also have a winter membership Louise, or what about a country membership, or even a 2nd club option (I know that Conwy do one of these.

Are there any courses "on'th'ills" that drain better and also do the same. I played Bury recently and although wet was still open and all on main greens.

I would love to have 2nd club membership but the finances prohibit it sadly.

theres a few decent courses on Th'ills round ere but non really drain well.
I'd say the Best is Bolton Old Links but its Brutal up there during the winter.
A lot are now doing a 2nd club membership though.
