Fed Up of No Golf

Or, as much of a wraparound season as is possible for Scotland :D

I've played 5 or 6 rounds this year, but haven't been on 18 greens since November. There was only 1 winter green on Saturday, so I'm hoping that the continuing warmer, dryer weather continues :)

Or since I joined a links course! :D

My parkland course will have been much the same as yours over the winter.

Most of the coursed have been closed since the end of October - its only the last week that we've seen grass for the snow for the last 3 weeks. Will still be another 3-4 weeks before the courses open fully.

Indoor ranges and simulators are not the answer either

Don't know how I would cope if something stopped me playing long term, I have only played 11 holes in the last 6 days and I am itching to get back out.

Played my 1st double header of the year last weekend.

Saturday 3 man Texas scramble comp - didn't play bad but also didn't trouble the leaderboard.
Sunday afternoon - bounce game with a mate all square after 10 holes and I ended 8 up :) (played the second nine 4 under my HC)

Still weather watching each week though - gonna plan for Saturday this weekend as Sunday looks dire!

Unfortunately, I'm just outside of Livingston, so the east coast is a bit further away...

I doubt it would take you much longer than me once you got on the motorway.

I played with a couple of guys from Hamilton who are Craigielaw members and they said it's not a bad trip and a no-brainer for them for year round golf. Think they got a country membership from there, not sure if you'd be far enough away.

Only managed four full rounds since January as we've been on temp greens a fair bit and I don't have the inclination to play when that happens. Hopefully we're heading towards March and some warmer weather
