Favourite Golf Glove

I love the Titleist Perma Soft. The only glove I wear, very comfortable soft feel of the leather. Their large size fits my mitt perfectly, snug no movement and love the clean look to it.

Do you have a go to glove for any particular reason or just buy whatever is on a deal/sale?

I quite liked the Bionic RelaxGrip; it has extra padding in the place I always get a hole in, which lasted a bit longer than most gloves. Titleist PermaSoft is also pretty good as well.
At the moment wearing FootJoy StaSoft, and they haven't lasted too well visable wear after 1 round.

I use the FJ Weathersof as it fits, grips and lasts.....and isn't expensive.

I’ve used these for a few years. They seem to last forever. Can’t see me ever going back to leather.

I agree that one glove is very much like the next. That said, I love Skins gloves as they are a bit different from the usual plain white ones without being too in your face. Good quality and last ok so fit the brief.

I'm very much in the cheap and cheerful camp. I've used cheap mizuno gloves for years but I'm now on cheap UA gloves. One glove will last me a season.

I pay somewhere between £7-9 for a glove. I couldn't tell you the model, just that they are the cheapest one of each brand

At the moment I’m using the Kirkland gloves. Full Cabretta leather good fit, comfortable last well plus you get 4 for £30 and can pick up a load of croissants and pasties while you buy them


I’m also a fan of the Mizuno Comp glove £8, hard wearing, well fitted and classic looking.

This. I bought a set of these just for the range. Found I actually prefer them to any fancy cabretta gloves so use them all the time now. They sail through getting wet without a problem and last ages. I find a lot of premium gloves the stitching round the end of the digit digs into your thumb or fingers (probably means I have a weird/bad grip, but anyway…) while the UA ones are perfect.

Not sure if it's this model, or other bionic gloves, but some aren't legal to use, non conforming, in competitions due to the big ridges in palm/fingers.
Fine for casual play.

Sounds ridiculous I know, its only a glove, but was told this by a couple of pga pros now that stock them.


Ive always like the srixon cabretta, footjoy sciflex, though I do like the Rife cabretta too after picking up a couple from American golf great value.

How do people store their gloves? I have a soft pouch thing, part of a set from Amazon which I use for gloves and it also has a zipped pocket which holds tees, pitchmark repairer, ball markers, spare pencils. etc. The larger one form the set is ideal for my gps and trolley chargers.

Do people use different gloves for the range and/or rotate use of the gloves? I don't, just use one until it is worn out or too grubby then swap for a new one.

+1 for the kirklands. I had some a couple of years back, then went off and tried others, such as the Rife ones from AG and the ones you find online, 8 for £25 or whatever they are (don’t last very well and stretched)

Found an unused Kirkland in my drawer a few weeks back, started using it, and it was so nice. Fits well, lasts well, decent thickness, so I’ve bought another 4 and I’ll probably stick to them from now on.

1 glove for all occasions. After a round I attach it to the rubber / plastic circle thingy at the top of the bag. It lets it dry or air, depending on the circumstances, and it means I always know where it is. I'm not hunting for it in pockets.

Luckily I'm OCD enough to make sure everything is in the same place so I know where it is - even down to my trouser pockets

I just keep mine in the sleeve/packet the glove came in

I try all sorts of gloves, but I've gone back to the FJ GTXtreme a few times. I love gloves with a bit of ventilation on the top to aid against sweaty hand when it's warm. I have liked the Under Armour Iso-Chill in the past, but then one time I ordered one and it was too small even though it was the same size I'd ordered previously, so that put me off them. The other one I like is a cheap and cheerful one, but the Callaway Weather Spann.

I just fold the glove in half and shove it in the small ball & tee pocket of my bag. I buy two or three gloves at a time, normally chuck them into an order I'm making for something else - but I don't rotate using them, I just use one glove until it dies and then move onto the next one.

For the last two and a half months though I've been using the FJ Wintersofs or Rain Grip glove, since it's either freezing cold or raining or both. They've lasted me about 5 years each now, but the Rain Grip has finally got a hole in so needs replacing.
