Another is, Sherwood Forest, when it's howling into you can't reach the fairway off the back tee as I found out one year in the Forester. And I busted my drive too.
Yep, its a tough hole & I was v.happy to make par. I can't compete with Imurg's hole out into the terrace drain tho', one of golfs classic shots !!

Trump Links has a fantastic finishing hole. Elevated tee, great views and more bunkers than the Maginot Line.
amazing how different golf holes can play off the yellow/winter tees in comparison to the competition tees. when i played it, i hit driver into the greenside bunker!
Following on from the 1st hole thread, this one will be interesting. espeically as it seems people didn't like a hard hole to start.
I will start with the 18th on the East Course @ Saunton, personally i think 1 and 18 are two amazing holes.
St Mellion, Goodwood and Blackmoor are also right up there for me.
finishing holes i don't think are that great are Woodhall Spa, Hankley and Camberley Heath.
No that usually the 16th. Par 5 finish is the way they play the Open. OOB all down the right. very good hole
