Fairway woods - shaft

Haven't had a 3 wood up to now but a mate has lent me his spare to try out - MD EQL with blue Grafaloy shaft. Tried it in the range last night off the mats - LOVE IT!

Too soon to try in anger though.

When I really try to go at my 3 wood then all hell breaks loose. But if I smooth it down and try to not hit the ball but just swing the club through it I get results. its just a question of remembering to do that in the heat of battle.

exactly like you, I do find it useful also when you have to play into a strong wind, a slow relaxed swing with a 3w will get you more distance,
