Extractor fan and gas bill

Things couldn’t get worse, bled the radiator on our room as it was terrible, 2/3 cold and bottom 1/3 hot.

Pressure dropped, no problem, I’ve fixed boilers for years using filling loop.

Realised I don’t have one, there isn’t one installed and I would have had no idea where to fit it as there isn’t anywhere to fit it without fiddling around with things I don’t know about and are not mentioned in the manual.

Plumber is going to cost more than my extra fuel bills would have anyway... nightmare!

Plus I’m going to have to buy the parts we don’t seem to have. Calling the house builder to complain too as only been built a year!

As your house is only 1 year old you need to ventilate it. Best have a look at nhbc website for advise. Also. Buy a min max thermometer it would surprise u how cold ure house gets during the day with no heatng on

Have one, it’s always been 15*C

Issue hasn’t been lack of settings, it’s settings being too high for too long or when not needed or overridden and left on high.

We are not out 8-6 each day, my wife only works part time so she is home a lot of the week.

We have aired the place out pretty well for his first year, at the cost of this higher bill; maybe not now I’ve realised all our other errors.

Hopefully can put this all behind me, save up, install a smart thermostat for next winter and move on with life. Just a little lighter in the savings...

Hive would Defo suit you, you can have different plans for each day so can tailor around your wife’s work etc no problem

Surely there must be one somewhere or how else did the plumber fill the system in the first place? Mine is actually part of the boiler.
