I've got loft adjustment on my driver and was chatting to a club pro about it.
What he then told me has really confused me.
He said that that de-lofting will send the ball higher and increasing the loft will lower the ball flight :mmm:

He was dead serious and said that although it doesn't seem logical, it is true, and due to the physics of closing the club face.

So just to be absolutely clear, I asked him:
"If I adjust my Callaway driver from 9.5 degrees to 10.5 degrees what will happen?"
Answer:
" You will get a lower launch angle"
"And if I adjust my Callaway driver from 10.5 degrees to 9.5 degrees?"
Answer "You will get a higher launch angle"

Can someone clarify for me what effects head adjustments really do have, please?

you sure he was referring to & said 'launch angle' in relation to the adjustment of static loft on a driver?

launch angle – the vertical angle relative to the horizon of the golf ball’s center of gravity movement immediately after leaving the club face - is not directly affected by the static loft of a driver (or of any club to that)

launch angle is mostly affected by the 'dynamic loft' presented at impact & the AoA, plus to lesser degree the parameters of CHS, SF, BS & ball type will have some effect.
