Are you suggesting all shafts are the same?
That seems the prevailing opinion from the disinterested yet of some authority. It suits too many people, and has too big a financial turnover, for anyone to really puncture the bubble.
And in truth, is probably the objective opinion of most golfers able to offer one too, but the illusion and fun of the gear game is seductive.

I have seen the difference a shaft can make for a golfer many times.
One example:
Old fella, with a regular shaft that had a mid kick point. He then had it changed to a kick point at the bottom of the shaft. he immediately started getting more height on drives, and therefore more distance.

Yeah it’s not the most entertaining of videos. I don’t think any of the PG videos are, they tend to focus more on data and info rather than entertainment.

Although there is actually very little data in that video, hardly any info either :ROFLMAO:

There is no industry standard when it comes to shafts and manufacturers - that is part of the issue and makes custom fit even more important.
