Ever get that feeling when you just wanna punch yourself?

Played a quick practice round of 9 holes today after work and I have to say that every area of my game was completely poo. Started on a short par 3 and pitched is nicely onto the green around 12 feet from the hole, then 3 putted! Lost 6 balls from driving left/right but never straight. Topped it a couple of times, scuffed chips, and one unmentionable.

I've never felt so hacked off after any round of 9 or 18 holes.

Still can't wait until the next game/practice though. :thup:

That's a very good question Bob, I had a series of six lessons at the early part of the year with the last one around the start of March. I've been thinking of booking another soon to review where I am. My game has been on the up, but today was an eye opener. I'll be looking at booking a slot soon.

I played 18 this aft on my local shortish 9 holer and was really pleased with how I played (38 first 9 42 2nd 9) but 3 putted on at least 6/7 holes! Driving was much better with my new G15 and eagled the 1st for the first time ever which included a great putt but then on a couple of easier 130-150 yard par 3's I scored 4 or 5's. So annoying but mostly very pleased with most of my game.

I wouldn't worry. I was playing reasonably well until I hit a wall at Camberley. Couldn't hit a shot and topped, sliced and shanked my way round. I'm hitting it ok(ish) at the range and have a lesson booked so putting it downto one of those days and moved on

Not sure really, I'm normally a fairly decent putter for my handicap but over the last 2 or 3 rounds have let my score down on putting. I think it may be due to rushing, had a limted amount of time plus was playing on my own and tended to rush the putt rather than thinking about it. Playing sunday with a 4 ball so see how I go on then and maybe get back to you lol. If I 2 putt then I'm happy but 3 takes the biscuit.
