I am lucky that my Pro shop only stocks Ping and Taylormade irons, and I have never been a fan. Takes away all the temptation when I go in, although it has been known for me to come out with other goodies.

Maybe you would shoot in the 60s with new bats. Hope that hasn't messed with your head. Do you ever try more modern clubs, but reject them in favour of the i3,or choose not to spend the money? Just curious.

i have tried several clubs on demo days and yes they are shiny and tempting and have listened to the guff spotted by the reps but i feel comfortable and confident with my clubs and cant understand the urge of some to swap clubs every year WHY!!! are we the most vain and gullible of all hobby sportsmen??
