Everywhere I go I see the R11 irons. I love them as everyone knows and I'm seriously considering them. However I wandered to the club for the roll up at 7.30 and even our club pro has a set in. He NEVER stocks TM in the 15 years I've known him. On the plus side he's offered me them for £499 (4-PW) which is the cheapest by at least £30 that I've seen them. He's defintely trying my patience and will power. I can hear the crdit card sobbing with trepidation in my wallet. I'm thinking about playing tomorrow. Will I be able to pass them in the shop?

Like the rest of us Homer, simply watch a clip of our swing, that'll soon sorts out that it isnt the clubs fault.

Pfft how do you explain the new stuff then to the missus?

Brendy I sort of agree with you but having hit these and hit them well it was love at first whack. Simply the club of 2011 for me and we all like the lure of something new.

Chris had a healthy PPI payout from Mr TSB so the cash isn't an issue and Mrs Homer has given it the green light (and some my joys should I wish)

Everything in golf is a tenner or "I had enough credit in my proshop account" :)
Dont get me wrong, Love my new shineys but I try to stay away from the new club stands unless I think its time to move on. I have been having these thoughts about my AP2's recently, so much so that I was looking at CBs etc. impending christmas and golf trip expenditure is keeping me reigned in.

go for it homer, there cracking irons...my mate got them couple of weeks back and there great to hit..i bought the jpx 800pros a few month ago and regret not trying them first...

Don't do it Homer, the TPs that are in your bag are surely there for another year or so.... at least until next Autum when the R13 is out :)

Weren't you saying when you get this money that it would be used to pay off credit cards that you lived on as the misses wasn't working? How can spunking money on golf gear be a good thing if that's the case?

Do it homer you'll regret it otherwise.

Ditch the lessons and just go out and hit the ball, don't think about anything else than swing back and through.

By the sounds of what you're telling us re the swing, no pro on this earth can fix it but maybe a new set of sticks will!

Good luck with the new irons.

RIP TM TP 4-PW

Staying away is the way I stay out of temptation as well. I'm normally quite good at keeping myself in check but even I'm getting the urge to buy some new bats, it has been nearly 7 years since I bought the S59s after all and the new 712MBs are a mighty fine bit of kit. I keep thinking of going to try them in the hope I don't get on with them but there's too much risk of it going the other way so I haven't yet. It doesn't help that the missus has given the OK either.

It's all very well telling Homer to stick with what he has but none of us would by anything if we followed that line. I say that if Homer wants them, he can justify the cost and he can hit them then why not buy them?

Just a suggestion Homer.....

Instead of buying yet another pair of shoes, (which you don't really need because you already have about a dozen pairs and you can only wear one pair at once).
Why don't you send me a cheque for £65.00 which will pay for your day at Cooden in August???
That way you won't have to pull out of a brilliant forum meet again if you are skint nearer the time!
Not being funny, but it would be lovely to have you down for the day.

BUY THEM

Brilliant price U have there, You should definitely consider Them, i mean if even Hid's has said yes, Even her, then surely you would be a Mug not to go for them ;-)
