English Amateur @ Ganton

Just checked the scores: we've got two players in it, both played Scarborough first. One lad shot 76 followed by 85 for 18 over par, the other is showing as 71 (1 under for round 1) but isn't showing his Ganton round as yet.
Some big scores at Ganton, must have been set up by the USGA!

Its hard as nails and the wind speed is showing as 30mph just now, with gorse all over the place

Just realised I missed one; our best amateur player (who's off to the US Amateur this year) shot a +6, 77, at Ganton yesterday.

My daughter played in the English Ladies there in the early 1990's.
Sounds like similar conditions.

It was so windy and dry that the snow ploughs were out on the approach roads clearing the blown soil off the melting tarmac
She shot 90-76 in the qualifying rounds and missed the cut for top flight [16] by a shot. The 76 was the second best score of the day.

A lad I know that played at my old course now at Delamere shot a 69 first day at Scarborough then an 83 at Ganton! Was joint leader on -3 after the first day.

I might just be knackered but how does the drawing work?

A player I know finished the strokeplay T27 on +3, why is he in the preliminary ko round when +4 was T43 and there were only 15 players on the score that tied for the all important 64th spot?
