If they had gone to Thaler and he decided it was a loose carry, then fair enough, but we both know a SL ref would have called that as a ball strip.

As for me supporting the Aussies next week, I can support who I like, no need for snide insinuations.

I disagree that it would have been judged a strip. Fifita had his arm at near full extension and a one arm carry.

EW never even touched the ball from what I saw.

I’m Scottish and like most Scots I want to see England get stuffed at whatever sport they are competing in. I am a big SL fan (Rhinos), just booked up for the Catalans trip next May.

I don’t understand this, you are a big SL fan and travel Europe watching your team so you obviously understand the game, Scotland aren’t involved in the final, so surely if you enjoy the sport so much you would want a great final with the best team on the day winning. Saying you want England to lose because your Scottish is just a cliche isn’t it?

Don't see what's so hard to understand about me wanting a particular team to get stuffed. Not sure what football team you support, but lets say you were a Liverpool fan, and Man U were playing Palace in the cup final. Would you want a great game with Man U winning, or would you want Palace to stuff them in a one-sided contest?

I'd say 80% of Scots who follow sport would want England to get beat at whatever sport they are playing. That's probably a conservative estimate, not a cliche.

I’m Scottish and a fellow Celt.

I can’t abide the majority of English teams (well mostly the kissball and union sides) but the game of RL is dying on its arse internationally.

One of the many factors for this is Australian dominance.

As a Rhinos fan or even a fan of SL in general you must understand the impact this has on SL in general?

Surely?

the Aussies bleed the game dry and are starting to raid SL as much as possible.

They see state of origin as the peak and are more concerned with pinching Polynesian players from their home countries to ensure their continued dominance

To see the English Lads stuff the crim’s would be a joyous occasion.

I can understand a neutral Scotsman wanting to see England stuffed but not a fan of a SL club and spectator of the domestic game.

One last thing.

You do know that our national side is near exclusively made up of English lads?

I’m an Everton fan and if LPool and Man Utd were playing in a final I would watch the game hoping to see a great game and the best team win, I’ve got family and mates who support them both, why would I be so petty as to deny either of them any joy when Everton aren’t involved.
I watched Scotland v Australia yesterday as a nuetral hoping for a good game, both nations are anti-English, so what, neither have done me any harm and I don’t understand anamosity in sport when it’s not your club or nation involved, Scotland were superb and I was cheering on some of their tries.

You follow the rhinos, buy tickets, maybe even a shirt and probably enjoy refreshments at their ground, indirectly you are helping pay the wages of the english players and yet when those same players pull on an england shirt you want to see them hammered

I get rivalry between nations, but to feel so strongly like you do when you have such a passion for the game is beyond me.

Agreed. The Ozzies had no flair and were dead on their feet for the last 20 minutes. Too many poor decisions at important points for England. Was a fantastic game though. Reminded me of the infamous Wigan v Manly game back in the 80's.
