Read the article last night about the sad demise of Sergio and if he on his way out.
I have always liked him and his energy (Apart from when he is having tantrums spitting in holes kicking his golf shoes blah blah blah) so I was very happy today see he came out and putt (geddit putt) a decent round in in Bahrain.

Long may it continue, may he find his putting stroke and may he get back to his best soon as it would be a massive shame if someone with his talent fell by the way side.

Writers note. I am in no way responsible if he goes out tomorrow shoots 80 and snaps a 7 iron round a marshalls head :)

I like him. One of the best ball strikers out there.

When he was 16, his putting was up with the best. What happened?

I hope he does well.

Even Sergio regrets spitting in the hole.

I know - i once did a massive airwolf with my sand wedge at Borth after having a stinker. Never done it since - my mates rib me about it now and again and i feel so ashamed :o

In full flow he's great to watch. He wears his heart on his sleeve as many of the Spaniards have done but nothing wrong with a bit of passion in view. I hope the issues in his personal life are now resolved and he can fully focus on golf. It'll be great to see him climb the rankings again

`Tis true Homer. He hasn`t been the same fella, never mind golfer, since his split with Greg Norman`s daughter.

Hope he can get back the putting touch and his head together as he has all the ability in the world with everything else in the bag.

Bit harsh to label him a crappy person for two moments of madness!

Can you not imagine his frustration? Being one of the best ball strikers in the world, tee to green one of the best in the world, but completely hamstrung by an inability to putt.

It would be like having an Aston Martin in your driveway, but no fuel to drive the bugger!

I'd think the same if it was someone at my gaff gobbing in the hole.I'd be asking for them to be punted, bloody disgusting.

The bookies are offering 66/1 for Tiger to win all majors.

Worth £2 eh :P

Not really, no.
Let you know in April...

Stupid me, I misread that, I thought it said to win all the majors. I was going to say that they were crap odds, wouldn't have even been a good in his prime, 66to1 to win A major this year isn't bad, worth putting a few roubles on.

Sorry, isn't this about Sergio?

Surely its time to move on from his impetuosity (ok rank bad behaviour) and hopefully let his golf start a new chapter in his golfing career. If I had to be cynically honest, I think this week will be a temporary return to form and he'll have another hugely inconsistant season. I hope I'm wrong as I'd love to see him in the WGC events etc but just have a nagging doubt his putting will hold him back again

hope he comes back and wins a major this year.
Doubt it though.

Very poor odds and well below true value.

Assume Tiger is 4/1 for each major (and I rather doubt that is good value either), then that equates to a 20% probability of winning. Converting to probability, then the probability of winning all 4 is 0.2 x 0.2 x 0.2 x 0.2 = 0.0016, which converts back to odds of 624-1.

66-1 for all 4 means the odds for each major would have to be in the region of 2-1. Ridiculously short odds and for complete mugs only.

Sergio, one of the best and sadly missed. Best ball strike I've seen live.

Hope he's back now to get some solid results and make next years Ryder Cup.
