How much difference in distance would 1 degree difference in loft make on a 7 iron, for the average player?

2 or 3 yards is considered the norm but it's so dependent on the quality of the strike and swing speed.
2 strikes the same - 2 to 3 yards

My HI is currently 7.8, and if I bent my 7 iron up or down a degree, I bet I couldn't tell the difference. Variance in my strike quality > mathematical variance in dispersion / distance

So little the average player would not notice because of the inconsistency of strike.
I have been at the range working out if two clubs I have in the bag hit the same distance
a 43deg 9 iron (TM TP) and a 46 Vokey wedge (same shaft on both)
Same balls on a range with Toptracer.
I came undecided because of the lack of consistency with my strikes.
Judging from the most accurate shots I would say the difference between the two was less than 10 yards so 1 degree would be 3 yards

I'm thinking 2.5 to 3 yards. my iron gaps are 4* and my carry is about ten yards between irons.
