e bay

Too many to remember, I now resort to waiting till the last 10 seconds before bidding a ridiculous amount, not strictly fair but I have won more that way.

A couple of times

If i were you keep it in your watching file and it will tell you if he has relisted the item
Or you could try contacting him direct and see if he would sell you it at a mutual price.

:D What's wrong with that? As long as you bid what you think it's worth to you I don't see how it is unfair.
Incidetally, I got up in the middle of the night yesterday to do exactly that as the item was in the USA and the end time was 5am! (I got it though)

It may be totally underhanded, but ebay snipers make sure (unless their is a other sniper with a higher bid) you win. TBH if i want something badly, I use them without thought.

Yes, if you have Mozilla Firefox you can get Snipe for free. Look for the free Firefox Add-ins
I use it any time I am after something on eBay.

I don't bother with late bidding or sniping.

I work out what it's worth to me, stick that price in (an hour or two to go) and see what happens.

Sure, you might end up paying 100% of your top price, but my prices of "what I'm prepared to pay" is the sort of money I'd feel is still a bargain.

I have had a few items lately that have always seemed to just jump up a few mins after i have bid. lo and behold, when i havent won i get the old second chance offer. Its obvious that people are using mates to bid on their own items.

HID wanted an exercise bike and we found what we wanted on Ebay. Top amount we wanted to pay was £70 so I bid £70.01. Good job too as someone else was bidding and kept getting closer and closer to £70. Eventually, with the last bid they bid £70. But as I'd bid a penny more I won it. Bet they were a bit miffed.... :D :D :D

Use "bidnabber" or something similar. Just enter how much you want to go up to and leave it to do it's work.
Maybe I've been lucky but it's never failed for me...

I love the excitement of the bidding though! :D

I can never work out why anyone shows their hand so early......bid with seconds to go,works every time for me.
Thats me, have two windows open, count down and press confirm. Got a near new Nike Dymo 2009 driver for £78 that way. Tried it, nea gid, sold it for 90. Cant be bad eh.

Justy got a spanking new Titleist forged ZB 3 iron, great club, for 40 notes. I can hit this one much higher than my R7.

Is it true, if something is bid for at say £70 and I enter £170 and win, I get it for £70? Excuse me for not knowing I dont normaly use ebay, well not very often.
