I see what you mean. In this case I bought the film for my Sky box and paid extra to get the DVD copy thinking I would then rip it and put it on my tablet. I may never actually watch the DVD but that was the method to get it onto my tablet. Had there been an option for a digital download instead of the DVD I would have gone for that but it was not an option.

That's odd. I thought you could download them through the Sky Go app to watch offline if you had Sky Q.

If you record a programme on your Q box can you watch that offline? Is it just bought films that you can not transfer that way?

For example to download to my phone right now i can download:

grand designs
corrie
scooby do
bake off
spongebob
car SOS
Stath lets flats (awesome BTW)
Groundhog day (recorded off Dave)

No BBC recordings, no Sky one and deffo none of the movies we have bought via Sky Store.

EDIT - I can watch 100% of them when at home on the same wifi network.
